In this sound track, someone is handling a bag of crisps with strong intent on making rumple noises. The motion is holding and folding the bag of crisps. The sounds has a metallic quality to it, the motion is done at random. Useful for sample slicing. It is recorded with a simple tie microphone and then edited on audacity to reduce noise and isolate the sound.

This is an a gathering of college students having a backyard get together with a bean bag toss (cornhole) as the primary entertainment. Me squeezing a crumpled bag of doritos, recorded with an sm57 going into an m-audio mobilepre usb audio interface. I recorded this because i needed a good rubber stretching sound, but couldn't find one that looped well. When i crumpled the bag up to throw it away, i realized it kind of sounds like what i wanted, and with some eqing and clever layering i could get a sound that's pretty close to what i wanted. I've uploaded the final result under my "processed sounds" pack, but here are the raw sounds for you to use, completely unprocessed. I've left some silence/noise at the beginning/end of these so that you can easily remove the noise if you so choose.

Recorded this in a crowded bakery in the morning. You can hear people talking and walking around, paper bags rustling, chairs moving loudly, and music playing in the background.

A collection of sounds, recorded at the fast-food parking lot. An uncommonly-warm day in the great north, the window was partway down so there is an outdoor ambient background. Straw is unwrapped and stuffed through the plastic lid of a drink, making its characteristic shriek. Remembering when as kids, four of us would sit around a table before the age of masking, and work the straws in the lids to generate a racket, i did that. This could be used as a cartoon-ish engine start failure, sounds like an old fiat. Then the crunching of a paper bag as a decadent burger is extracted.

Do you ever have a paper bag lunch, but you were raised with a lack of funds-- you have, a lack of money as some would say, but you have no proper way to take your discomfort for the severely unsatisfying, unappealing lunch you have to eat every single day. So, you take it out on your perfectly fine and well crafted, paper-bag sustenance. This is it, this is this feeling represented in wav form. 48000 hz/ 16 bit.

I put my awful dynamic microphone in a crisp packet and started shaking the microphone to a beat.

This is a nylon coat with a wide-tooth zipper being zipped and unzipped at various speeds plus a couple of intermittent 'stuck zipper' sections. In several places i left the swishing sound of the nylon coat in to simulate the sound of a sleeping bag being zipped/unzipped. Recorded with stereo nt1a mics in a soundbooth. No effects.

Several spitting noises recorded with the aim of getting a realistic sound and nothing besides spitting. I actually spit (not dry spitting) into a plastic bag. The impact on the plastic bag can be heard, but it isn't too bad. The first half is p-spitting and the second half is t-spitting (shape mouth is held in). A little bit of horking and squishing as well. Recorded with a shure sm58 in a treated room.
